Parents: unlock a profile · Recruiter sign in
Parents
Every name on a team roster is just a name until a parent or guardian unlocks a recruiting profile for their athlete. Profiles are opt-in, free, and only ever shown in full to verified college recruiting coaches. Unlocking one takes about five minutes.
Unlock your athlete's profile
- Find your athlete on their team roster and tap Unlock next to their name, then request a code with the Instagram or X username you or your athlete will use and the parent's email. No parent Instagram account needed.
- Follow and DM. From that account, follow @dr.jason.hunt on Instagram or @jhuntdo on X and send a direct message with the word PROFILE and your code: We match your DM to your request — usually the same day — and email the parent a link to continue. Everything from here on is done by the parent or guardian.
- Open the link and verify your email and mobile number.
- Sign the consent and fill in the profile. It's live as soon as you save.
Two athletes? You'll need a new Instagram code for each one, but you only verify your email and phone once.
Athlete 18 or older? You can unlock your own profile: same steps, choose "I'm the athlete" at the code step, and add a photo of your ID plus a selfie. We check it by hand (deleted right after) before anything goes public.
Why can the athlete get the code? Because the code only starts the process. What confirms a parent is doing this is the rest: your email, your mobile number, and a signed consent — plus the school's athletic director is told and can take the profile down.
Already unlocked a profile?
Sign in with the email and password you chose at the consent step to edit the profile, add offers or new film, or take it down.
High school coach or AD?
You don't need any of this. Scores, wrestling bouts and tournament results use your school reporting code.
What's shown, and to whom
Anyone can see: name, school, sport, class year, position, height and weight, measurables, highlight links, honors, offers and commitment.
Only verified college recruiting coaches see: Instagram and X handles, GPA, SAT/ACT, NCAA Eligibility ID, and your contact details. High school coaches and staff never have access.
The school's athletic director is notified when a profile is created and can remove it. You can remove it yourself at any time, and a parent asking for a name to come off a roster doesn't need to give a reason.
